Leaders to Announce Additional Allocation of HUD-VASH Vouchers for Homeless Veterans

Homeless veterans in El Paso may take a collective sigh of relief as the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP) has been awarded an additional 34 Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) vouchers by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This brings the total number of HUD-VASH vouchers under HACEP’s care to 204. On Thursday, October 30 beginning at 12:30 p.m., HACEP and the El Paso VA will host a joint press conference in which key stakeholders who play a pivotal role in implementing the various components of the HUD-VASH Program will be present. The HUD-VASH Program will be explained to generate additional awareness of this important program and to allow the media an opportunity to interview formerly homeless veterans who are actively participating in the HUD-VASH Program.
