The Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP), gives public notice that it is committed to assuring full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ("Title VI"). HACEP does not, on the grounds of race, color or national origin, discriminate against persons in the provision of its programs, services, or activities. Title VI requires that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which HACEP receives federal financial assistance. Any person who believes they have been discriminated against in violation of Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with HACEP. Any such complaint must be in writing or provided verbally so that it can be put in writing and filed with the HACEP’s Title VI Coordinator within sixty (60) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory act or decision.
